The St. Augustine Art Association Presents: Faces and Figures
02/07/25-03/02/25
The St. Augustine Art Association brought back the Faces and Figures exhibit once again. From drawing studies, formal portraits, and everyday life subjects, the exhibit’s intention was to show personality through the human form.
My study with pencil and watercolor, "Beach Walk Exploration," was hanging in this collection. Following the forms and gesture of the flow, my piece shows women walking together on the beach.

The St. Augustine Art Association Presents: Out of Place
01/03/25-02/02/25
My painting, "Live...It's Saturday Night!" was part of the "Out of Place" exhibit at the St. Augustine Art Association, running from January 3 to February 2, 2025! The exhibit explored the beauty in embracing the unexpected, with art that questions norms and invites us to let go of apprehension.
My whimsical piece humorously imagines flamingos as hosts on iconic TV shows like Saturday Night Live or the Tonight Show —completely out of their element but embracing the absurdity—because why not?
This unique exhibit pushed the boundaries of the "normal" and challenged what "should" be. View the show online at https://www.staaa.org/out-of-place/ to experience this playful, unconventional world!

The St. Augustine Art Association Presents: Tactile Art Show
10/04/24-10/27/24
October marks National Sensory Processing Awareness Month. The St. Augustine Art Association collaborated once again with the Florida DeafBlind Association and the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.
Unlike traditional art exhibits, the Tactile Art Show encourages all attendees—whether blind, visually impaired, or sighted—to engage with the artwork through touch. The pieces are designed for tactile exploration, offering a truly immersive and unique art experience!
My contribution to the show was a tactile octopus made of mixed media with repurposed materials, called "Touch Me If You Can!".
My piece is now hanging at the Florida School For the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine, Florida.

The St. Augustine Art Association Presents: Fall Members Show
09/06/24-09/29/24
The Fall Members Show was on display at The St. Augustine Art Association during the month of September.
My piece, called '“Walking Towards the Beach”, combined drawing and painting, working back and forth between ink and watercolor.
On my way to St. Augustine Beach, I found this landscape full of life in its natural environment and stopped to wonder how we can sustain this forever.
Check out the St. Augustine Art Association for amazing art by local artists!

My piece, 'Vase on the Table During Football Game' was on display along with the works of many other local artists!
Like the name suggests, it depicts Tibouchina flowers in a matching vase. A neighbor brought them to our neighborhood football watch party, for me to paint from. I had so much fun bringing the boldness, spirit, and color of these blooms to life in this 2-D painting. Their movement and energy rivaled the Jaguars we were watching!

The St. Augustine Art Association Fall Members' Show

Something unique in nature. A native wildflower with positive vibes that can help sustain our natural habitat. I was asked to paint one, and fell in love with it , so I continued to learn about it, and paint more. I am drawn to its colors, shapes, spots, posture, and open arms.
“Go Native! The Spotted Beebalm” was on display at the St. Augustine Art Association as part of the Fall Members Show. The exhibition was on display from September 1st to October 1st.

The Art Center Cooperative Presents: Sailing Along the St. Johns
08/07/23 - 9/30/23
As the longest river in Florida, the St. Johns River is a key landmark in the state and runs through the heart of Jacksonville. As such, The Art Center Cooperative asked artists to share our memories of 'Sailing Along the St. Johns' through our art.
By simplifying with strokes, I tried to capture the Old Florida window in front of me by the St. Johns River, in color and in monotone.
The exhibition was on display from August 7th to September 30th. There was also an Artists’ reception at The Art Center Gallery on August 13th. The exhibition can also be viewed online at https://www.tacjacksonville.org/sailing-upon-the-st-johns-online-gallery.html

02/26/23
Orchids are an amazing and challenging plant. I can't seem to grow them but I love to draw them and keep trying to paint them. I was asked to paint some blue flowers one day, and finally found some unusual blue orchids to photograph. Wildly Uncommon in Blue is my third blue orchid painting. I tried to highlight the uniqueness and rarity that I see. These blue orchids seem to have a lot to say and love being in the spotlight.
My blue orchids and all the wild pieces were displayed at The Art Center Cooperative located at 320 E. Adams Street in Jacksonville. The exhibit was on display from February 13th to March 26th. There was also a public reception on February 26th.

2022 National Federation of the Blind of Florida State Convention Presents:
Blind, Bold and Building: A Tactile Art Exhibit
10/07/22 - 10/10/22
Recycled Flower by Robyn Freedman
The 2022 National Federation of the Blind of Florida State Convention was held at the Southbank Hotel from October 7-10th. This year's theme was “Blind, Bold and Building.”
As many blind individuals do not have a chance to enjoy art, the convention featured a tactile art exhibit and fundraiser. The featured art laid flat to allow attendees to feel the piece and volunteers made labels for the art in braille. I am humbled to have created and donated "Recycled Flower" to help such a powerful group. This was the first art show and fundraiser during the Florida State Convention, so it’s an honor to know that many people enjoyed the ability to feel each piece.
Of the 30 pieces exhibited, 10 were sold and went home with both sighted and completely blind collectors. I am proud to say that my piece was one of those.
Please check out nfbflorida.org and all of the amazing work they do to, "help transform dreams into reality."
